Here in York County there is miles of beautiful rocky coast, and sandy shores. Some of Maine's premier beaches are located just a mile or so to almost all shops and restaurants in Kennebunkport. If you're looking for a relaxing get away, the Lodge At Turbats Creek is the place for you. Try taking a dip in our heated salt water swimming pool. Believe me it is a warm welcome change from the chilly ocean sea.
The beaches in town:
-Parsons Beach, a long sandy beach, surrounded by Maine dunes, located near the Kennebunk / Wells border, off of route 9. Free parking is available.
-Kennebunk Beach, which includes Mother's Beach, Middle Beach, and of course Kennebunk's largest beach Gooch's. Two roads off of route 9 will bring you to the ocean front: Beach Road, or Sea Road. Parking passes are required for these beaches and are available for rental here at the front desk for our quests to use.
-Colony Beach, a smaller rocky beach is located directly across from the Colony Hotel off of Ocean Avenue.
-Goose Rocks Beach, is a more secluded beach with shallow tidal pools. Located on the King's Highway off route 9. Parking stickers are available at Town Hall or the Kennebunkport Police Station.
